(The following is a bit of pre-game roleplay of an encounter between Onee and Shinichi. Both parties had input on this. It probably takes place a day or two before the trip.)
Looking down at the ground all she could do was stare, mouth agape. She knew of the controversy going around the school and of the incident that had happened so very long ago, but, now this?

The bell rang and the day was done. Feeling exhausted and ready to get home and be done with the awful day, Onee moved quickly down the sidewalks, passing by her fellow classmates one after another. A few yelled at her, a few said hey; she simply ignored them and kept on going for several blocks until… She came to a halt.
Down the street was the large and luxurious building that had caught her attention on many previous days. It was the Mutou family Shrine, one of the biggest in all of Osaka, and a haven for worshippers of the Goddess Amaterasu. While Onee didn’t really have strong religious beliefs as such, she still found the Shrine a very lovely place to go and think things over and relax, and the way she was feeling, it appeared as if today would be a good day to make use of the Shrine.
The Shrine was enormous in size and very beautiful. The grounds were well kept and everything always seemed in order. It was also quiet there with people roaming through, praying, and just observing the beauty of the Shrine. Every time Onee would find herself here she always felt at peace inside, as if a calming aura exuded around her.
Slowly, and with grace, Onee walked up the steps of the Temple. She had wanted to run back home quickly today, but, something seemed to be drawing her in. As she continued forward she realized what was bothering her and stopped to open her book bag and take out the paper from this morning.
“Could… any of this actually be true?” she thought to herself.
Taking a moment to look over the paper she continued walking up the steps until she arrived at the top. She folded the paper up and walked over to a large and magnificent statue of the Goddess Amaterasu. Walking over she laid down her things, knelt, and made sure she lit one of the candles there before closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath.
For the next several minutes Onee simply sat there thinking about things and trying to calm herself. Her mind wandered and many things entered into her mind. A fight with her family the other day, finding the newspaper this morning, being slammed over and over again with the knowledge of the upcoming school trip…
“Pardon me.” said an unfamiliar man. “But don’t I know you from class?”
Startled, Onee opened her eyes quickly to see a young man in formal Shrine attire looking at her.
“I didn’t mean to interrupt you of course, I do apologize. My name is Shinichi Mutou.”
Unsure of what he wanted, the name suddenly triggered in her head. There was a boy named Shinichi in her class, but, she knew the name more prominently from another source… The newspaper articles she had been reading had has name in it. He was one of the friends on the beach that night when Yuzuru was…
Onee suddenly became aware that she was staring at him without saying anything. The silence was thick and it was obvious Shinichi wasn’t sure what he had done or needed to do. Feeling embarrassed, Onee quickly corrected herself, and bowed.
“Oh, I um, I’m so sorry.” she began. “Yes, I think we do share the same class. I’m Onab… Err, just call me Onee.”
Delighted to see a response, Shinichi smiled back to her with a very warm and gentle smile.
“It’s a pleasure Onee.” he said in an elegant voice. “I have seen you here before and always thought it was you, I’m glad I came over.”
Onee smiled back at him, she appeared happy to be having the conversation; however, inside she squirmed, feeling uneasy. All her life she had tried to avoid getting to know people or being overly friendly, she didn’t want anyone to get to close to her. A very private person, Onee found herself feeling very uncomfortable with the way things were going.
Another period of silence…
“So,” Shinichi began. “How long have you been coming here?”
“Well, I… At least a year or so now I guess, maybe more. I uh…”
Onee shifted her weight and began to stand, attempting to be on an even level with Shinichi so she might feel less intimidated. As she rose, though, the paper in her hand slipped and opened on the ground. Shinichi bent to pick it up and paused when he saw the headline.
“What are you doing with this?” he said in an little stronger voice than before, holding the paper in front of Onee.
Realizing what this must look like, and already feeling awkward being here, Onee could think of nothing else to say or do except to run. She didn’t want to risk revealing anything to him or letting him accuse her of something that wasn’t true. Onee could tell his voice was sterner and perhaps irritated at seeing the newspaper. There was only one option…
Turning to run, Shinichi reached out and grabbed hold of her arm.
“Don’t go, I didn’t mean to…”
But before he could finish she broke free and took off away from the Shrine. Her cheeks were flushed, her heart was beating, and she was back to wanting nothing else but to be at home, alone, in her room.
Meanwhile, back at the Shrine, Shinichi was feeling a bit angry at himself for the way he approached her. It really wasn’t like him to do that. Regardless, looking down at the paper, he couldn’t help but wonder her thoughts on the situation.
Back at home, Onee felt a lot safer and she started to calm down some. She raced upstairs and darted into her room, her parents said nothing and an audible increase in the volume of the music from her sister’s room could be heard as Onee got to hers and closed the door.
Tossing her things to the floor Onee collapsed in her bed breathing heavy. She was very flustered and even more upset that she knew she couldn’t go back to that Shrine anytime soon; she couldn’t risk bumping into Shinichi there again.
“Oh God, what does he think of me I wonder? Why did he have to see me with that paper? Damn! The paper… he still has it doesn’t he?”
Frustrated and unsure what to do, Onee figured she might just call in sick tomorrow so that she wouldn’t have to risk running into him and explaining things or getting into another conversation she had to run from. It wasn’t like anyone would miss her, no one misses a nobody, and that’s exactly how Onee wanted to keep it.
Looking down at the ground all she could do was stare, mouth agape. She knew of the controversy going around the school and of the incident that had happened so very long ago, but, now this?
